On this day, the tour starts with your tour guide and private driver picking you up at the hotel after breakfast and taking you to the Giza Necropolis. You will give a great look at the Great Pyramids of Giza - Khufu, Kafre, and Micerinus - and also the Sphinx and the Temple Valley. Next, let's visit the Egyptian Museum, which holds an impressive (and the largest) collection of objects related to Ancient Egypt. It is the 9th day out of the 16 Days Best of Egypt and Turkey tour. After breakfast, let's discover Istanbul. First stop: Hagia Sophia. The place was built between 532 and 537, and along the upcoming centuries, it was used as a mosque and as a church. Following comes the Blue Mosque, famous for its interior blue tiles, and the Hippodrome, that used to be the venue of chariot races. You will be mesmerized by the Topkapi Palace, the residence of Ottoman sultans for four centuries. The place holds an impressive treasury, beautiful courtyards, and the famous harem. On the 13th day out of the 16 Days Best of Egypt and Turkey tour, enjoy South Capadoccia after breakfast. You will visit Kizilcukr, an isolated valley that has stunning rock formations and hidden rock-carved churches. Next is Cavusin, one of the oldest villages in the area. You will visit the Church of St. John the Baptist, the oldest in the area, from where you can have a panoramic view of the place. Finally, you will visit one of the underground cities, with eight floors below the ground (not all open to visitors), and the pigeon houses.
